First, Do You Actually Need an App?

Plenty of businesses ask for "an app" when what they need first is a fast website and a WhatsApp line. A mobile app is worth building when at least one of these is true:

  • Customers come back often — ordering, bookings, savings, loyalty or school updates every week.
  • You need the phone itself — camera, GPS, push notifications, scanning or offline use.
  • Your staff work in the field — riders, sales reps, inspectors or agents capturing data away from a desk.
  • The app is the product — a marketplace, a fintech service or a delivery platform.

If none of those apply, start with a website or a web app and add a mobile app when your customers ask for one. We would rather tell you that now than build something nobody downloads.

Musskart Technology Limited was founded in Asaba in 2020 and has delivered more than 250 projects since, from our office at 93B Ibusa Road, Umuonaje and our second office in Abuja.

What a Mobile App Costs in Asaba (2026)

Scope decides the price. These are honest ranges from the projects we quote:

TierTypical priceWhat it usually includes
Basic₦500,000 – ₦2M3–6 core screens, one type of user, simple sign-in, one payment method.
Standard₦2M – ₦8M10–25 screens, several user roles, payments and wallets, a web admin dashboard.
Enterprise₦8M – ₦30M+Multi-sided marketplaces or multi-tenant platforms, KYC, compliance and integrations.

A typical first version (an MVP) costing ₦3M–₦6M takes 6–10 weeks. After launch, budget roughly ₦150,000–₦500,000 a month for hosting, maintenance and third-party services. For the detail behind these numbers, see the cost of app development in Nigeria and MVP development cost.

Built for the Phones Your Customers Actually Use

Most of your users will be on Android, many on mid-range or budget phones with limited storage and expensive data. We build for that reality:

  • Flutter by default — one codebase for Android and iOS, so you are not paying for two separate apps. Read Flutter vs React Native in Nigeria.
  • Small, fast apps that install quickly and do not eat your customers' data.
  • Offline-first where it matters — data is saved on the phone and syncs when the network returns.
  • Nigerian payments built in — Paystack, Flutterwave, Monnify or Interswitch, with bank transfer for business customers.
  • Verification where you need it — phone OTP, and BVN or NIN checks through licensed providers for fintech apps.

What to Prepare Before Your Scoping Call

You do not need a technical specification. Bring answers to these six questions and the first conversation will be far more useful:

  1. Who are the users? Customers, staff, riders or parents — and roughly how many in the first year.
  2. What is the one job the app must do well? Everything else can wait for version two.
  3. How will it make or save money? Subscriptions, commission, delivery fees, or hours of staff time saved.
  4. What do you use today? WhatsApp groups, spreadsheets, a website or an older app — we plan around it rather than ignore it.
  5. What is your budget range? An honest range lets us suggest the right first version instead of a wish list.
  6. Is there a deadline? A school term, a product launch or a funding milestone changes how we phase the work.

How We Build Your App

1. Free scoping conversation

30–45 minutes at our Ibusa Road office, at yours, or on a call. No NDA is needed for the first conversation.

2. Written proposal

Scope, timeline and a fixed price for defined work, usually within a week.

3. Clickable prototype

You and your staff try the app on your own phones before we write production code, when changes cost hours, not weeks.

4. Build in weekly sprints

Every week you see working software, not a status report.

5. Real-user testing

Riders, parents, cashiers or field staff test the app before launch, because they find what nobody else will.

6. Launch, training and support

Store submission, training for your team, then an optional support retainer for updates and fixes.

Payment is staged by milestone. When the final invoice is settled you own the source code, the design files and every account created for the project, and we publish the app under your own Google Play and Apple developer accounts.

Platforms We Have Shipped

ETK Mall

Mobile App Development in Asaba: Frequently Asked Questions

Basic apps with 3 to 6 core screens cost ₦500,000 to ₦2M, standard apps with payments, wallets and several user roles cost ₦2M to ₦8M, and large marketplaces or multi-tenant platforms start around ₦8M. We quote a fixed price for defined work after a free scoping call.

A typical first version costing ₦3M to ₦6M takes 6 to 10 weeks. Simple apps can be faster, and larger platforms are delivered in phases so the most important features launch first.

Most of your users in Nigeria will be on Android, so it usually comes first. We build with Flutter by default, which gives you Android and iOS from one codebase, so launching on both does not mean paying for two apps.

Yes. Our office is at 93B Ibusa Road, Umuonaje, Asaba, open Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM and on Saturdays by appointment. You can start with a WhatsApp chat and come in for the scoping session.

You do. Once the final invoice is settled you own the source code, the design files and every account created for the project, and the app is published under your own Google Play and Apple developer accounts. There is no licence to renew and no lock-in.

Yes, where it matters. We design field and sales apps to save data on the phone and sync when the connection returns, which is essential for riders, agents and staff outside reliable coverage.

Yes. Android and iOS updates, store policy changes and new feature requests all arrive after launch. We offer support and maintenance retainers, and we keep the codebase clean so another developer could take it over if you ever move the work in-house.

Yes. If you want to learn to build apps rather than hire a team, our Asaba office runs mobile app development training.
