Containers Per Operator We Build For

We reply on WhatsApp within minutes. Musskart Technology Limited is a registered Nigerian software company serving roll-off haulers and skip-bin hire firms in the US, Canada, the UK, Australia, the UAE and Nigeria.

Skip Bin and Dumpster Rental Software You Own — Not Rent

Whether you call them skip bins or dumpsters, the business runs the same way: a fleet of containers, a handful of trucks, and a phone that rings all day with people asking three questions — what size, how much, and can you drop it Thursday. Somewhere between the whiteboard, the spreadsheet, the driver group chat and a shoebox of weighbridge tickets, the whole operation is being held together by memory. And you are probably paying a monthly subscription to soften that, priced per truck or per user, that you will never own a line of.

Musskart builds the alternative: a custom skip bin hire and dumpster rental platform, built once and owned outright. Online booking with real postcode or zip pricing, live size and date availability, a dispatch board the office actually enjoys using, a driver app for drops and pickups, container tracking across every site, invoicing with card capture, and automatic weight-overage billing. One build cost in US dollars, full source code handed to you, and no monthly rent to us afterwards.

This page sets out exactly what we build, how the booking and dispatch flow works end to end, the arithmetic of owning versus renting, what it costs, how long it takes, and how to see it working before you commit a dollar. It is written for operators running roughly 20 to 500 containers — the size where spreadsheets have stopped coping and enterprise waste software is absurd overkill.

What Your Subscription Is Really Costing You

Bin-hire and roll-off SaaS looks cheap on the pricing page. Products in this category — iCans, Bin Boss, Docket and the rest — generally start in the region of $99 a month and climb from there, and several of them bill per truck or per user rather than a flat fee. Check their current pricing yourself; it moves. What does not move is the structure: the bill never ends, it grows with your fleet, and cancelling takes the workflow and the easy access to your own booking history with it.

Then there is the fit problem. Your zones are not their zones. Your 4-yard, 6-yard, 8-yard, 20-yard, 30-yard and 40-yard mix does not map onto their dropdown. Your council permit rules, your prohibited-items list, your hire periods and your excess-weight rate are all approximated by fields that were designed for someone else. So half the process ends up back in a spreadsheet, and you are paying rent to be mildly frustrated.

To be straight about it: if you run one truck on an entry plan, a subscription is genuinely the cheaper option and we will tell you so on the call. Ownership starts winning the moment your bill runs into the hundreds per month, or the moment you add trucks and watch the invoice follow.

What We Build Into Your Platform

Your platform is assembled from modules. Take the ones that match how you actually run and leave the rest — nothing gets bolted on that you will never open. These are the pieces skip-bin and roll-off operators ask for most.

Online booking with postcode / zip pricing

Customers enter their address, and the site resolves it to one of your pricing zones and returns a real, bookable price for each container size — not a "request a quote" form. Delivery surcharges, out-of-area rules and distance loading are all yours to set.

Size and date availability

Availability is calculated from the containers you actually have free, not from a guess. Pick a size, see the dates you can genuinely service it, and book the slot. No more promising a 20-yard on Friday that is still sitting on a site in the next town.

Dispatch board

One live board for the office: today's drops, today's pickups, swaps and exchanges, unassigned jobs down one side. Drag a job onto a truck, sequence the run, and watch statuses flip as drivers work. The whiteboard, retired.

Driver drop and pickup app

The run for the day in order, with address, size, access notes and permit details. Tap to confirm a drop, photograph the placement, scan or record the container number, then confirm the pickup with a load photo and any contamination flags — all timestamped and geotagged.

Container tracking

Every bin in the fleet has a record: where it is, which job it is on, how long it has been sitting, when it is due back, and its service and repair history. Find the idle containers costing you money and the ones overdue for collection in one screen.

Invoicing and card capture

Take a deposit or full payment at booking, store the card on file for the overage, then turn a completed job into an invoice in one step. Trade accounts get terms and statements; retail customers pay up front. Automatic reminders chase the rest.

Weight and overage billing

Record the included allowance, capture the tipped weight from the transfer-station ticket, and let the system bill the excess automatically at your rate per tonne or ton. Contamination and prohibited-item charges post as their own lines, ticket attached.

Customer portal and reporting

A branded login where trade customers reorder, view live hires and settle invoices, plus the numbers you run on: revenue per truck, utilisation per container size, average days on hire, and which zones actually make money.

How One Hire Flows Through the System

The clearest way to judge a build is to follow a single container from enquiry to invoice. Here is the full path, and every step below is something we have built before.

1. The customer prices themselves online

They land on your site, type a postcode or zip, and see your sizes with your prices for their zone — including the delivery charge and the weight allowance included. No callback, no waiting, no phone tag at 7pm.

2. They pick a size and a date that is genuinely available

The calendar only offers dates where a container of that size is free and the truck has capacity, with any permit lead time already factored in. Choosing a date that cannot be serviced simply is not possible.

3. They pay and the card goes on file

Deposit or full payment is taken at booking, the card is stored securely with your processor for later overage charges, and the customer gets a confirmation with the prohibited-items list and placement instructions attached.

4. The job lands on the dispatch board

It appears in the unassigned column for its date. The office drags it onto a truck, the run sequences itself by area, and the driver's app updates instantly. Phone bookings your team keys in behave exactly the same way.

5. The driver drops and confirms

The driver opens the run, navigates, drops the container, photographs the placement and records the container number against the job. The status turns green on the board and the customer gets an automatic "your bin is on site" message.

6. Pickup, weighbridge, overage, invoice

The pickup is scheduled or triggered by the customer from the portal. The driver collects, photographs the load and flags contamination. The tipped weight is captured, the excess is calculated against the allowance, and the final invoice — hire, overage, any extras, ticket attached — is issued against the card on file. The container returns to available stock automatically.

The Break-Even Maths, Honestly

Owning software is not automatically cheaper than renting it. It depends entirely on what you pay now. Below is the arithmetic on a one-time build against a recurring subscription — no assumptions about any particular vendor's prices, just your monthly number against ours.

Your current monthly SaaS spend Cost over 3 years Cost over 5 years Break-even vs a $10,000 core build Break-even vs an $18,000 full build
$99 / month (1–2 trucks, entry plan) $3,564 $5,940 ~101 months (8.4 years) ~182 months (15 years)
$250 / month (small fleet, added modules) $9,000 $15,000 ~40 months (3.3 years) ~72 months (6 years)
$500 / month (per-truck billing, ~5 trucks) $18,000 $30,000 ~20 months ~36 months
$1,000 / month (10+ trucks or per-container) $36,000 $60,000 ~10 months ~18 months

Read the top row honestly: at $99 a month for one truck, a subscription wins and we will say so. The picture inverts the moment you are billed per truck or per container. At $500 a month a full custom platform pays for itself in about three years and then costs you nothing but hosting; at $1,000 a month it pays for itself inside a year and a half. And that maths ignores the admin hours a system fitted to your process gives back every week, which for most operators is the larger number.

What It Costs (USD)

Pricing is a one-time build in US dollars, scoped to the modules you pick. As a guide:

Core

from $10,000

Online booking with postcode / zip zone pricing, size and date availability, the dispatch board, job records and invoicing. The essentials that replace the subscription and the spreadsheet — owned outright.

Full Platform

from $18,000

Everything in Core plus the driver drop-and-pickup app, container tracking across the fleet, card capture, weight and overage billing, permits, trade accounts and a branded customer portal.

Multi-Depot

from $30,000

For operators with several yards or brands: multi-depot stock and dispatch, per-depot pricing and reporting, franchise or sub-hauler access, deeper accounting and weighbridge integrations, and an API.

Every quote is fixed and scoped before a line of code is written, and payment is staged against milestones rather than paid up front. Tell us your fleet size, your zones and what you pay now, and we will send a written figure. We reply on WhatsApp within minutes.

How Long It Takes

We work in two-week sprints, and you see running software from week three — not a demo video at the end. A typical full-platform timeline looks like this.

Weeks 1–2 — Discovery and your rules on paper

We map your container sizes, hire periods, weight allowances, excess rates, pricing zones by postcode or zip, permit requirements, prohibited items and the exact paperwork your drivers and office use today. You approve the scope and a fixed price before build starts.

Weeks 3–6 — Booking engine and pricing

The public booking flow, address-to-zone resolution, live size and date availability, deposits and card capture, and the admin where you edit rates and zones yourself. You are clicking through a real booking by the end of week four.

Weeks 7–10 — Dispatch board and driver app

The office board with drops, pickups, swaps and unassigned jobs; truck and run assignment; and the driver app with photos, container numbers, signatures and live status. We test it with one of your real routes.

Weeks 11–13 — Containers, weights, invoicing

Fleet-wide container tracking, weighbridge ticket capture, automatic overage calculation, invoices and statements, trade accounts, reminders and reporting. Accounting integration is wired in here if you need it.

Weeks 14–16 — Data, training, launch

Your customers, containers and open hires are migrated, your team is trained on the office and driver sides, we run parallel with your old system for a week, then cut over. Source code and documentation are handed to you at go-live.

A Core build compresses this to roughly six to eight weeks. Multi-depot builds run longer. Having your rate card, zone list and container inventory ready on day one is the single biggest accelerator.

See It Working Before You Commit

You should not sign anything on the strength of a feature list. Book a live walkthrough and we will screen-share a working build and drive it in front of you, using your sizes and one of your real service areas where we can.

What the 30-minute demo covers

  • A customer books a bin from a real postcode or zip, sees your price, picks a date and pays — start to finish, live.
  • That booking appearing on the dispatch board, being dragged onto a truck and sequenced into a run.
  • The driver app on a phone: the run list, a confirmed drop with a placement photo, then the pickup.
  • A weighbridge ticket going in and the overage posting automatically onto the invoice.
  • The admin screens where you edit zones, sizes and rates yourself — no developer required.
  • An honest scoping conversation: what you need, what you do not, and the fixed price for it.

Why a Senior Nigerian Team — Honestly

Let us be straight with you: Musskart is a Nigerian company. We are Musskart Technology Limited, a registered software business headquartered at 93B Ibusa Road, Umuonaje, Asaba, with a second office in Abuja, and we have delivered 250+ projects since 2020. We are not a US, UK or Australian agency and we will never pretend to be one. Here is why waste and container-hire operators overseas hire us anyway.

That is the whole proposition: real senior delivery from Nigeria, priced so a hauler in Ohio, Ontario, Kent, Queensland or Dubai can own serious software instead of renting a compromise. We are transparent about where we sit, we serve clients internationally, and we let the work carry the argument.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, and that is the usual reason operators call us. Everything the subscription does for you — online booking, size and date availability, a dispatch board, driver drops and pickups, invoicing and container records — is standard work for a senior team. The difference is that a custom build is shaped around your bin sizes, your pricing zones, your permit rules and your paperwork, and at the end you own the source code outright instead of renting the tool forever. The honest caveat is scale: if you run one truck and pay around $99 a month, staying on the subscription is cheaper. Ownership starts paying once your bill is a few hundred dollars a month or you are billed per truck.

You load your own zones. Each postcode or zip code is mapped to a pricing zone, and each zone carries a price for every container size, plus any delivery surcharge, weight allowance and hire period you set. When a customer types their address, the system resolves it to a zone, checks that the size and date are available, and shows a real, bookable price rather than a request-a-quote form. Out-of-area postcodes can either be blocked, priced with a distance surcharge or routed to your office as an enquiry. You edit zones and rates yourself from the admin, without calling us.

Yes. Drivers get a mobile app that shows their run for the day in order, with the address, container size, access notes and any permit details. On a drop they tap to confirm delivery, capture a photo of the placement and record the container number that went on site. On a pickup they confirm collection, photograph the load, flag contamination or overloading and capture a signature if you need one. Every action is timestamped and geotagged against the job, so the office sees progress live and disputes are settled with evidence instead of memory.

The system records the weight allowance included in each hire, then captures the actual tipped weight from the transfer station or landfill ticket — typed in, photographed, or imported from your weighbridge file where a feed is available. Anything over the allowance is billed automatically at your excess rate per tonne or per ton, and contamination or prohibited-item charges can be added as separate lines. The overage lands on the customer invoice with the ticket attached, which is what stops the argument before it starts.

A core build — online booking with zone pricing, availability, the dispatch board and invoicing — typically runs six to eight weeks. A full platform with the driver app, container tracking, weight and overage billing, card capture and a customer portal is usually twelve to sixteen weeks. Multi-depot or multi-brand builds run longer. We work in two-week sprints and you see working software from the third week onward, so nothing is a surprise at the end. The single biggest thing that shortens a build is having your rate card, zone list and container inventory ready on day one.

You own everything. The full source code, the database and the design files are handed over at the end of the build and the licence is yours — there is no per-seat fee, no per-truck fee and no monthly rent to us. Running costs are what you pay third parties directly: hosting, which for an operator of this size is modest, a maps or geocoding provider, SMS or email credits, and your card processor's normal transaction fees. If you want us to keep maintaining and extending the platform we offer a support plan, but it is optional and you can host and maintain it with any competent developer.

Own Your Bin-Hire Platform Instead of Renting It

Send us your fleet size, your zones and what you pay now. We will come back with a fixed scope, a fixed USD price and a date — and you will own every line of it. We reply on WhatsApp within minutes.
